Stablecoins have a kill switch. Most people find out too late.

USDT, USDC, PAXG and the rest are not bearer assets. The issuer can freeze a balance at the contract level, and in some cases destroy it outright. It happens on ordinary wallets — a freelancer paid from the wrong counterparty, an OTC desk that accepted one bad deposit, a trader who bought from a stranger.

FreezeRadar exists to make that risk visible before the money lands. We track every freeze, unfreeze, and burn on the assets we cover, screen wallets against official sanctions lists and known bad actors, and tell you how exposed an address is — with a confidence number attached, so you know how much weight the answer deserves.

Where the data comes from

On-chain events

Freeze, unfreeze, and burn events read directly from the issuers' own contracts — not from a third-party feed and not from press reports. If Tether blacklists an address, the event is in the same place we read it from.

Official sanctions lists

  • OFAC SDN digital currency feed
  • UK Sanctions List
  • UN consolidated list
  • EU financial sanctions list
  • NBCTF cryptocurrency seizure orders (curated)

Entity labels

Exchanges, mixers, darknet markets, bridges, and known scam clusters. Every label carries its source and a confidence value, and we show both — a name we inferred is never presented as a name we confirmed.

What we are not

This corner of the industry is full of people promising things nobody can deliver. Here is what we will not tell you.

We do not give legal advice

A scan is an input to your own decision, not a compliance determination. If you need a legal opinion, get one from a lawyer.

We do not decide what an issuer will do

Only Tether, Circle, Paxos, and the authorities behind them decide who gets frozen. We can show you exposure and precedent; we cannot predict their next move.

We cannot reverse a freeze

If your funds are already frozen, we can tell you what happened and when. We have no channel to undo it, and neither does anyone who charges you to try.

We do not recover lost funds

Anyone promising to recover frozen or stolen crypto for an upfront fee is running a scam. That is not a service we offer at any price.

FreezeRadar provides informational wallet risk analysis only. It does not provide legal advice, guarantee any freeze outcome, or support sanctions evasion, concealment, laundering, or provenance obfuscation.
