Check USDC Blacklist Status on Solana Programmatically
Screening Solana USDC programmatically is not a contract call, it is an account-state lookup, and the address you need is the associated token account rather than the wallet. Below is the direct RPC read and the API call that skips the derivation step.
Reading the status directly
There is no blacklist contract to read on Solana. The status lives in the token account itself: fetch the parsed account and check whether its state field says "frozen". That means you need the token account address, beyond the wallet address, deriving the associated token account for the USDC mint is the step most integrations miss.
Node.js (@solana/web3.js)
import { Connection, PublicKey } from "@solana/web3.js";
const connection = new Connection("https://api.mainnet-beta.solana.com");
const info = await connection.getParsedAccountInfo(
new PublicKey("TokenAccountAddressToCheck")
);
const state = info.value?.data?.parsed?.info?.state;
console.log(state === "frozen");One call instead of one integration per chain
The direct read above covers this contract only, and it returns a boolean, not the sanctions exposure or counterparty history that decides whether an address is about to be frozen. FreezeRadar's API returns all of it for every freezeable contract we track, including the 15 freeze events recorded on this one.

FAQ
Who can freeze USDC on Solana?
Circle holds the freeze authority on the Solana USDC mint. It does not call a function on a custom contract the way Tether does, it sends the SPL Token program’s FreezeAccount instruction, which is a standard Solana capability any mint can keep at creation.
What exactly gets frozen: the wallet or the balance?
This is the detail that trips people up: Solana freezes a token account, not a wallet. A frozen USDC account is one address-and-mint pair, so the wallet’s SOL and its other SPL tokens keep moving normally, and a wallet holding USDC in more than one token account can have one frozen and the rest untouched.
Can a freeze on Solana be reversed?
Reversal uses ThawAccount, the mirror of the freeze, and only Circle can send it. Circle freezes on law-enforcement request and publishes little about individual cases, so the realistic route is a support request with the case reference from whoever reported the account. FreezeRadar has recorded 1 release against 15 freezes on this contract.
