Round-Amount Pattern

A high share of the tracked transfers use suspiciously round amounts rather than the irregular amounts organic usage tends to produce.

Why it matters

Round amounts can indicate manually agreed, off-chain-settled transfers rather than organic usage, though some legitimate flows — payroll, fixed invoices — look similar, so this alone is weak evidence.

How we detect it

Measure the share of tracked transfers with round amounts and flag wallets where that share is unusually high.

Example evidence

A wallet where most tracked transfers use round amounts rather than irregular ones.
